Boys will be boys...

I am slowly realizing that my life with just boys is only beginning. It is a good thing I am not a "girly" girl. I LOVE these boys...They are my favorite things in the whole world.

Lil' Bro

Sam is following in Miles' footsteps and looooves pears. Our little one is getting less little and is wanting to eat like a big guy. He has this great role model...Miles, Beans, Space-nut, Has-to be-outside, Charles Barnhart.

Those Barnhart Boys

We had the greatest weather this weekend. After a great little morning hike in Red Rock with some teachers and parents from school, we headed home to the backyard. Miles' strawberry plant from last year has one almost ready to eat.

Saturn

We took Miles to a Star Party in Red Rock tonight. The Las Vegas Astronomical Society meets up there once a month to "stargaze". A friend from work told me about it and mentioned that tonight they were expecting to have a good view of Saturn. There were lots of telescopes set up and Miles was very patient waiting for it to get dark. He went to look through a telescope and starting shouting "Saturn, I see Saturn." I have never looked through a telescope and was wondering how in the world he knew it was Saturn. Then I looked through. This is not a picture from tonight, but a picture Bryce found online. This is exactly what Miles, Bryce, and I saw when we looked through the telescope. Not only did we see Saturn, but we saw several of Saturn's moons too, which by the way Miles can name. Amazing. Really, really amazing. Our little space nut was so excited. We came home, put Miles and Sam to bed, and went online to price telescopes for his birthday present.

The Tank

Yes- he now climbs the stairs. He went to his pediatrician this week. He weighs about 19 pounds and his doctor was impressed with him. He says "sh" when he looks at the fish, the "f" sound when he looks at the fan, and the "t" sound when he looks at the trees outside our window. He can also say ma-ma and da-da to Bryce and I. His doctor always takes a picture of him on his cell phone and sends it to Nurse Shae, a friend of his and my nurse after I had Sam, who looked at him when he was less than 24 hours old and knew something was wrong. This is actually pretty incredible because lots of babies with Hirschsprung's Disease are actually sent home from the hospital with no diagnosis and they end up getting very sick. We are very thankful for her. We are hoping we get to see her at the NICU reunion. :)

Bathtime!

Their first bath together...ahhhhhh.

9 months

He has a new nickname: TANK. This kid is a bruiser. Happy to say that he is now over two months tube-free and just got invited to the hospital's NICU Reunion in a few weeks. Looking forward to seeing all the doctors and nurses who took care of our sweet little man for the first month of his life.

Beautiful Day

After the morning egg hunt festivities were over, we headed over to the park...

Happy Easter!

After we had some Easter fun at home, we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa's house. The Easter Bunny (EB) had left clues all over the house that finally led Miles and Sam to their surprise!

Taking Care of Miles

Miles came down with some sort of nasty flu bug this weekend. I grabbed the camera because I found Sam resting his head on his brother's pillow. I didn't get a picture of that but did get a couple of other sweet ones.

Another Space Nut?

Look what I caught Sam doing.
