After the Ride Hair

Someone was tired on the way home...

Miles Goes Camping

Miles and I went camping this weekend in the Valley of Fire with some friends from work. He explored, climbed, and of course taught everyone about everything space.

Go, Sam! Go!

A New Telesope

I have the kindest, most sincere group of students this year. They love to hear about Miles and Sam. Miles' bulletin board is filled with pictures from them (mostly of space men, moons, and other things they know he loves). Monique, one of my students, has been telling me about this telescope she has been making for Miles. I was expecting some sort of first grader's simple paper telescope. Monique and her mom came in this morning with the telescope that she had made with her father's help. I was so excited to bring it home to our little man.

Sam the Man

Apparently we have one kid who will be an astronaut when he grows up and another who will be a mountain climber.

Mr. Universe

Holy Moly, or Guacamole, or how ever you say it in Iriquois, or Porteguese, this kid has some melanin, look at that tan. Some days we're not sure if we're raising an astronaut or a Brazilian underwear model. Between his Mexican, Indian and Dego blood he gets darker than most Hawaiian Tropic girls. I'm still not convinced that he's the fruit of my loins, I wish that I was half as smart or goodlooking as he is. I'm going to look silly standing next to him as he receives his first Nobel Prize or America's Next Top Model trophy....God, I need to hit the gym.

A Few New Tricks

10 months old...

Hard to believe, but little Sam is already 10 months old. Still growing stronger and smarter every day. But sadly, the little man is up to his old tricks again and is back to needing his tubes. Keeping our fingers crossed that his little body starts doing what it is supposed to do again soon...

The Telescope

Miles' birthday present was a telescope. We surprised him with it after dinner on his birthday. He told us it was just what he always wanted. After the sun went down, he finally got to see, close up, what he has been calling "his best buddy" for the past few years- the moon.

Happy Birthday Miles!

Miles turned 3 yesterday. It is amazing that his perfect little day old face has become even more perfect at 3 years old. We are honored to be his parents and can't believe that he is already 3 (time goes by so fast) and only 3 (he seems so much older). We love you Miles and happy, happy birthday...

Moving...

This was from a few weeks ago...
