The Artist

Sam loves to "do" art. That is what he calls it as he opens the cabinet where everything ART is kept. He loves his crayons, markers, and really loves to paint. I actually think he is pretty good too!























I especially love this one. I love ladybugs and asked Sam to draw me one. Bummed it was done with washable crayons because the sun is going to eat away at this one. I framed it and tried to put in a spot where the sun won't beat on it.




































From his ABC class he is taking with Grandma.

Beautiful Santa Cruz

When people ask me where I am from and I tell them, they usually ask why I left. Well, college sent me to even more Northern California (which is equally beautiful, I must say), but I love where I came from. More than that, I love that I can show my kids how absolutely beautiful this place is. Miles and I took a quick trip (supposed to be longer, but I got sick...a minor hiccup in being a first grade teacher).

A bit delayed in posting these...life is busy! We took the boys up to Mt. Charleston a few weeks ago. Ummm...they LOVED it!
