A Special Gift

Grandma got a special gift in the mail a few weeks ago. This is what the letter said:
Dear Mary Ann,
I am sending you this straw from the manger. It is supposed to keep little Sam healthy. I hope he is doing good. He is always in my prayers.
Love to you all especially Sam.
It was from Grandma's Aunt Marie and the straw was from the manger in her and Uncle George's Nativity Set. It has been under his mattress for a little over a week. We haven't had to use his tubes in almost two weeks. :)

Just checked my email and found that Shauna had sent this one to me from Big Bear. It was titled "Mini-Bryce".

Big Bear...Again!

We were back in Big Bear over the long weekend. Shauna and Sophie met us for a night. Look at this beautiful little girl...

6 months...

Sam was offically a half-year old on the 12th. It's been a pretty good month for our sweet one. He has been going to the bathroom (on his own) for over a week now. He has two teeth and loves many things. Here is a list of a few favorite things:
1.) Miles- He LOVES his brother. If Miles is in the room, Sam is either smiling, staring, or laughing at him.
2.) his stacking cups
3.) his socks (he "eats" them)
4.) being loved- he is a cuddly little boy
5.) the fish (Grandma's and our's)

Big Bear

We went up to Grandma and Grandpa's Big Bear house last weekend. A first time sledding experience for Beans (and Smush).

Conductor Miles

Miles got the coolest train set for Christmas from his cousins (and Uncle Ryan and Aunt "Efefie"). We pulled out his hat from Roaring Camp. Notice the "space" jammies. Yes, he is still fascinated by anything "space".

The Elf

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful boy...

Santa came...

He ate most of our cookies and left bootprints. Apparently, he still had North Pole snow on his boots. He knew just what Sam needed...a new red tube and KY jelly. Thank you Santa!

Christmas Eve

We spent the evening at Grandma and Grandpa's house. It was a little noisy so Sam slept in Grandma and Grandpa's closet. Then it was time to get the house ready for Santa. We made cookies, wrote a letter, and left food on the porch for the reindeer. Can't wait to see what he brings for the boys...
